Since 1988 the Tampa Language Center has been the school in Tampa, FL to learn foreign languages. The Tampa Language Center has highly experienced teachers that give instruction for: English as a second language, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Italian, German and many more.
The Tampa Language Center offers TOEFL preparation, accent reduction, translation -interpretation services and adult and children classes. The Tampa Language Center provides on-site private, semi-private and small group instruction; teachers are also available for off-site instruction.
The on-site group classes provide students the opportunity to interact with people from all over the world: Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, Argentina, Puerto Rico, Spain, Costa Rica, Saudi Arabia, Korea, Japan, Holland, France, etc. The semi-private and private classes allow the teacher to tailor the class specifically toward the student's expressed goals.
Students are initially tested and evaluated to determine their beginning level; they are then placed in the appropriate class. Although our courses are non-credit, a certificate of completion is given when the student has successfully completed his/her program.
Many local companies have used the Tampa Language Center to provide language instruction for their employees. These businesses include Verizon, Mosaic, Beckwith Electric and CP Ships, just to name a few.
We are a Certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and we are a Member of the American Translators Association (ATA), American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL), Worldwide Classroom (WWC), National Association for Female Executives(NAFE), and National Association of Professional Women (NAPW).
