About Tampa

Tampa is a major city in Florida, located in Hillsborough County. It is found on the west coast of Florida, on Tampa Bay, near the Gulf of Mexico. Today, Tampa is part of the metropolitan area referred to as "Tampa Bay," which includes St. Petersburg, Clearwater, and the surrounding area.

Tampa's climate displays some characteristics of a tropical climate. This means that there are hot days and frequent thunderstorms in the summer (with less frequent rain in the fall and winter), and occasional cold fronts that might lead to a light freeze during the winter. The official recorded high temperature has never hit 100 degrees Fahrenheit (37.8 degrees Celsius), peaking at 99 degrees Fahrenheit (37 degrees Celsius).

Tampa has 3 professional sports teams, is home to some of the best beaches in America, and has something to offer for almost everyone, no matter your hobbies, as long as they don't include snow.
